Left over scars

Every day we walk through life

We go about our day trying to be strong

but we are affected by the happening's of the past.

The hurt, the lies, the pretence all in our past.

I'm over it, you say

but in your heart you cry out hoping someone can see through the lies you tell

I'm not ok, says your soul... I am happy, says the crooked smile on your face

Save me I am drowning is masked by I have it all together

When will that person come along to see what's happening and save you?

But the real question is when they come along will you be able to let go of those leftovers and be free?
