My Face, My Make-up

I noticed today that a guy friend of mine posted a picture of a woman.

It was a before and after of a make-up "transformation".

He made a statement about how women and make-up are tricksters and that why he doesn't go after women who wear make-up.

Now we're allowed to have our preference. We like who we like and whatever.

However why, on God's green luscious earth, is it that you feel the need to say that?

You know not a thing

And as a woman who sported a full made- over face just last night

I felt, as Jamaicans say, "a way" about it. It ruffled my feathers.

So chirp chirp!!!

I placed myself in her situation.

So you ain't know nothing about me.

You don't know me name

You don't know me age

You don't know how often I wear MY make-up

But you still a chat bout how I am trying to trick a man

NO!!!!

I wear MY make-up on MY face when I feel like it

I can wear MY make-up when I go to school, to the grocery store, in the bathroom or to pick a cat up from outside.

I may not be attractive to you outside of it

but why do YOU, a man I probably don't know or care about, feel the need to say that statement?

Did I ask you to come after me?

You see MEEEEEE ask you fi look me?

You see MEEEEE a do dis for you?

You see MEEEEE a trick you?

Where? Where you see none a dis?

YOU DON"T KNOW ME!!

Listen men

You can say what you want.

But I must say this. Sometimes what women do HAS NOT A DANG THING TO DO WITH YOU

GET OVER YOURSELF
