Over the years women have been told that beauty is all about the physical.
You have to be fair
You have to have a clear face.
You have to slim and trim.
To be sexy you need to have a thin waist, big butt and big boobs.
And with this mindset came the rules that women had to abide by when they dress.
If you're on the larger side shorts weren't for you
Tank tops? "Forget it!!"
Showing your shoulders? "How dare you?"
Low riders? "Ewww whatcha doinggg gurrrl?!!"
A dress that hugs your body? "Oh no the crimes you commit!!"
Really I could go on and on and on!!
When I was younger society's ideals and teasing affected me greatly
And even now I still have a little worry
But I am learning to love myself despite what other might think.
They say what others think of you is none of your business.
So I say wear what you feel!!
If you look good and feel comfortable?
Go for it, let people talk. That's not your problem..
Love your bones, your skin and your rolls
And don't compare yourself to others.
