I noticed a site where someone suggested that women , for their own safety, don't take Bar-tending jobs. Their premise is that they don't know half the customers who enter the place and they go to work early and leave late.Someone suggested getting a "skill" but what if that is the job she has so she can pay to get her diploma or degree? I don't know maybe am not getting it but what about the women who go to school, or non-bar tending jobs who will walk pass a person who they don't know and do so everyday? What about the young women who don't have a car but work starts at 6 am and ends at 3 am? What about the women who are unhappy doing a job that is a 9-5? Are they supposed to give up the livelihood they know because people are unable to listen to their conscience? Are we not supposed to go to our classes that end at 9 pm because we are fearful? Are we not supposed to do our assignments at the hospital because we don't have a car and leave a 3 am? Is the woman journalist supposed to turn down going to the event that her feature will be based on because its late? I guess from now on we are supposed to hide in our homes just to be safe. I guess we should do a job that we are uncomfortable doing because we're trying to be safe. I am not saying precautions aren't to be taken but do we have to hide? Maybe. I just don't get it.
